The rise of AI in drug development, patient engagement, and clinical trials presents an urgent risk: automated exclusion of communities historically underserved by research. We cannot allow AI to repeat the mistakes of the past. We will explore practical, responsible, ways AI can support community engagement and more equitable clinical trials.

This conversation aimed to identify who is missing from mental health research and why, and to learn directly from community organisations about recruitment and engagement barriers.
